Robot Brief

Walker C1 is a full-size service humanoid from UBTECH Robotics, built for public-facing work such as reception, guided tours, performances and patrol. UBTECH launched it on 22 June 2026 at the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing, where it co-hosted the opening launch ceremony and worked as a robot volunteer. Launch reports give a height of 1.64 m and a weight of 55 kg, and UBTECH's 2026 interim report gives 53 degrees of freedom. It runs UBTECH's Thinker embodied AI model on about 2,070 TOPS of on-device compute, according to launch reports. UBTECH has not published a price, saying only that it will be competitive. In October 2026 Bitcoin Japan signed to distribute it in Japan once it is certified there.

Use Cases

UBTECH lists four uses for Walker C1: commercial services (multilingual reception, AI tour guiding and shopping assistance), culture and entertainment (themed dance performances, visitor interaction and brand events), urban safety (patrol inspection, crowd guidance and traffic assistance), and education and research (teaching assistance, K-12 AI classes and a research platform).

Industries

UBTECH targets commercial services, culture and tourism, urban safety, and education and research. In Japan, distributor Bitcoin Japan is initially focusing UBTECH's humanoids on manufacturing and logistics.

Intro

This listing was prepared from public sources and has not yet been confirmed by the manufacturer. Manufacturers can contact Aparobot to correct or complete it.

Walker C1 is a full-size service humanoid from UBTECH Robotics, which UBTECH calls the world's first full-size humanoid service robot designed for "urban symbiosis". UBTECH first showed it in a video on 22 May 2026, dancing waltz and ballet with human dancers, and launched it on 22 June 2026 at the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. At the expo it co-hosted the launch ceremony, was named the expo's first "silicon-based spokesperson", and guided and greeted visitors alongside other UBTECH robots.

Launch reports give its height as 1.64 m, its weight as 55 kg and its degrees of freedom as 53, the figure UBTECH also gives in its August 2026 interim report. Its frame uses a 3D-printed lattice structure as a "muscle" layer, with three waist joints. It runs UBTECH's Thinker embodied AI model, with vision-language-navigation and vision-language-action modules, on about 2,070 TOPS of on-device compute; some reports give the unit as TFLOPS, and the chip is not named. Reports say 60 to 70% of that compute is reserved for developers. UBTECH's Chinese product page claims a top speed of 3 m/s or more, automotive-grade safety, standing up by itself out of the box and setup by one person. UBTECH says the design draws on its Walker S mass-production experience, and it offers an SDK and standard interfaces.

UBTECH sells Walker C1 to businesses first and plans to reach consumers later through distributors and e-commerce; leasing and paid performances are also offered. No list price has been published. At the World Robot Conference in Beijing in August 2026, UBTECH showed Walker C1 EDU, a research version on its Thinker Cosmos development platform, and Walker C1 EDU Tutor, a teaching-assistant version. In September 2026 UBTECH said it had more than RMB 50 million in overseas orders from Europe, Japan and Korea that include Walker C1, without giving a split by model.

In October 2026 Bitcoin Japan signed an exclusive agreement to distribute six UBTECH humanoids in Japan, including Walker C1. The 36-month exclusivity starts when Walker C1 meets Japanese conformity and certification requirements. Before certification, Bitcoin Japan says it will supply units for research, experimental, data-collection, demonstration and similar uses permitted under Japanese law. The deal initially focuses on manufacturing and logistics, requires personal data collected by the robots to be processed and stored in Japan, and had no confirmed customers when announced.

Not known: list price, battery capacity, runtime, payload and charging time. UBTECH's product page shows its specification table only as an image.
