Intro
XiaoWu is a humanoid robot standing between 1.4 and 1.8 meters tall with four telescopic legs ending in wheels, allowing it to switch between fast wheeled movement and stable walking. Each leg adjusts independently to maintain balance on uneven terrain or stairs. Its humanoid hands have five fingers with tactile skin for sensitive object handling. The robot’s control system combines high-frequency SLAM, lidar, IMU, and cameras for precise 3D mapping, localization, and dynamic obstacle avoidance. XiaoWu folds autonomously for compact storage and enhanced mobility in tight spaces. Designed for home and elderly care environments, it supports multimodal interaction, including voice and gesture recognition, to understand and predict human needs.
