Intro
AlphaBot O1 is a robot from Shenzhen-based AI² Robotics (智平方), described by the company as a new-generation whole-body collaborative general-purpose intelligent robot. It is powered by the company's AlphaBrain embodied AI model, which AI² Robotics says lets it understand tasks, perceive its environment and make decisions. The company also says O1 handles "cross-space, long-sequence and fine" manipulation tasks and keeps improving through continuous operation.
The company highlights dual-arm force control, which senses joint forces and contact in real time, and whole-body coordination of movement, torso posture, arm extension and end-effector work. AlphaBot O1 debuted at the 21st China International SME Fair in Guangzhou, held 3 to 6 September 2026, where it gave live demonstrations, and it was also shown at the XAIR embodied AI expo running alongside the fair. The fair named it one of its 10 Most Popular New Products, chosen by online vote from 213 entries; the company says it received the most votes. Xinhua's and the organiser's official reports list AI² Robotics' winning product as "AlphaBot X", and it is not yet clear whether that is the same robot under another name.
In September 2026 an AI² Robotics official said the company would keep improving "AlphaBot 2, AlphaBot O1 and other products" for reliable continuous operation in complex industrial settings, moving from single sites to batch deployments, with a focus on semiconductor display, automotive manufacturing, biomedicine and new retail. No O1 deployment had been reported as of October 2026; the company's robot at Hong Kong's FLAIR embodied AI training ground, opened on 15 October 2026, was AlphaBot 2.
