Intro
MagicBot Z1 is a humanoid robot that combines aluminum alloy with engineering plastics optimized through topology and thermal simulations to ensure the durability and heat dissipation efficiency. Equipped with 360° sensing, including stereo cameras and LiDAR, allowing the Z1 operates reliably across multiple terrains such as flat ground, grass, gravel and steps. It boasts a highly customizable software and hardware platform with Magic Atom, a proprietary multi-source database facilitating rapid motion and skill development.
The upper body of Z1 features an articulated head with a pan/tilt Degree of Freedom (DoF) allowing ±40° Z-axis rotation, paired with a waist capable of yaw rotation of ±160°. Each arm has a5 DoF with an additional 2 DoF for wrists articulation, enabling versatile manipulation tasks. An optional dexterous hand with 11 DoF tactile manipulation is available for fine-grained hand movements. The arm span measures 0.5 meters with a maximum payload capacity of 3 kilograms per arm. This configuration allows precise and expressive upper body movements suited for human-like interactions and complex tasks.
The lower body includes two legs, each with 6 DoF for dynamic and stable locomotion. The thigh and shin together measure 0.6 meters, providing the structural length necessary for efficient walking and running. The knee joint offers a peak torque of 130 N·m and a rotation range of 0° to 152°, while the hip has a flexible rotational range across pitch ±160°, roll from -30° to +110°, and yaw ±160°. These features enable the MagicBot Z1 to perform advanced movements such as human-like walking, running, and lateral standing up, combining strength, flexibility, and precision for versatile lower body mobility in diverse operational scenarios.
Z1 also comes with voice interaction feature, enabling the humanoid interact and response to voice commands, which can be greatly deployed as an exhibition guide service provider.
