Intro
Memo is a wheeled domestic service robot developed by Sunday Robotics to operate safely and effectively inside real homes. Instead of walking on legs like many humanoid robots, Memo uses a wheeled base that provides greater stability and energy efficiency. The robot includes a telescoping spine mechanism that allows it to adjust height and reach objects on the floor or high shelves while maintaining a low center of gravity for safety.
Standing approximately 1.7 meters tall and weighing around 77 kg, the robot is designed with compliant actuators that yield to human contact and a soft silicone outer shell with no sharp edges, making it safe for family environments including homes with children or pets. Its arms and grippers are capable of delicate manipulation tasks such as handling fragile glassware or utensils.
Memo is powered by Sunday Robotics’ ACT-1 foundation model, trained on millions of human movement demonstrations collected using the company’s proprietary Skill Capture Glove. This training approach allows the robot to learn complex manipulation tasks and perform long-horizon household workflows such as clearing a table and loading a dishwasher autonomously in homes it has never encountered before.
