Intro
The PUDU D5 is a quadrupedal autonomous robot built for demanding outdoor and industrial environments. It integrates an automotive-grade computing stack featuring NVIDIA Orin + RK3588 processors capable of up to 275 TOPS, enabling simultaneous SLAM, 3D reconstruction, object recognition, and path planning.
For perception, it uses dual 192-line spherical LiDARs and four wide-angle fisheye cameras to generate dense 360° point clouds, allowing centimeter-level localization and dynamic obstacle avoidance in real time.T
he robot’s hybrid leg-wheel locomotion reaches up to 5 m/s on flat terrain, can climb 30° slopes, and continuously handle 25 cm steps. A robust aluminum frame with closed-loop torque control supports a 30 kg payload, and advanced gait stabilization algorithms maintain balance and smooth motion.
Built for all-weather resilience, D5 can cold-start at −10°C, operate from −20°C to 55°C, and achieves IP67 ingress protection against rain, snow, and dust. Interaction options include 10+ hand gestures and robust voice control using a multi-mic array, enhancing human-robot collaboration.
