Intro
Q5 is a wheeled humanoid service robot that merges robust manipulation, autonomous mobility, and human-centric interaction into a compact and elegant form. Standing 1.65 m tall with a “tiny waist” and a compact base footprint (582 × 519 × 225 mm), it is designed to move easily through narrow corridors and dynamic interiors while maintaining stability and maneuverability.
The robot’s 44 degrees of freedom enable flexible, coordinated motion across its body. Its upper body includes 7-DoF anthropomorphic arms capable of reaching up to 1.38 m and performing humanlike manipulation tasks such as object delivery, item handoff, and gestural interaction. Each arm uses the XHAND Lite 11-DoF dexterous hand, which offers fast response (up to 10 clicks per second) and a 10 kg payload per hand, enabling Q5 to handle moderately heavy items and perform complex manipulation with precision.
For perception and navigation, Q5 employs a fused LiDAR + stereo vision sensor suite that supports reliable autonomous navigation, environment scanning, and obstacle avoidance in indoor spaces. Its onboard control system enables context-aware motion, while an advanced EraAI embodied intelligence platform facilitates lifecycle AI workflows including data collection, model training, simulation, and closed-loop validation — making the robot both a practical service agent and a research platform.
Q5 supports remote full-body teleoperation, allowing control via VR rigs, sensor gloves, and other input devices, which is ideal for data collection and human-in-the-loop training. Its communication stack supports low-latency teleop and real-time interaction with users. Combined with a humanlike voice engine and natural language capabilities, Q5 delivers engaging, context-aware interactions across languages and environments.
