Intro
THEMIS V2 is a lightweight, full-sized humanoid robot standing about 1.6 meters tall and weighing approximately 32–36 kg. It features 40 degrees of freedom, including 6-DoF arms and 7-DoF hands with force control and optional touch sensing for adaptive grasping. The robot uses proprietary BEAR actuators that enable compliant, smooth, and safe joint movements. Equipped with stereo vision cameras and a MicroStrain 3DM-CV7-AHRS inertial measurement unit sampling at over 1000 Hz, THEMIS V2 maintains balance and navigates complex terrains. Its onboard AI computing power reaches up to 200 TOPS, enabling real-time perception, planning, and autonomous operation without cloud reliance. The robot supports ROS and an AI-augmented humanoid operating system that integrates large language models for advanced control and interaction. Hot-swappable lithium-ion batteries provide up to 3 hours of operation, with safety features including force-limited joints and wireless emergency stop.
