Hexagon AB is a multinational industrial technology leader, long known for measurement, geospatial, and automation solutions. In March 2025, it launched a dedicated Robotics division to accelerate next-generation autonomy, leveraging expertise in AI, spatial intelligence, and measurement technologies. The new division is led by Arnaud Robert and is supported by Hexagon’s global R&D and commercial infrastructure.

AEON:Hexagon’s flagship industrial humanoid robot, combining advanced locomotion, AI-driven mission control, and spatial intelligence. AEON is designed for complex tasks such as manipulation, asset inspection, reality capture, and operator support. It features Hexagon’s proprietary sensor suite for high-accuracy performance, multimodal sensor fusion for environmental awareness, and a battery-swapping mechanism for continuous operation. AEON is being piloted with industry partners like Schaeffler and Pilatus in manufacturing, aerospace, logistics, and warehousing applications.
