Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd.

ZheJiang Huamnoid Robot Innovation Center was established on December 21, 2023, as a joint effort between the Ningbo municipal government and the robotics laboratory of Professor Xiong Rong at ZheJiang University. The center is structured as a technology company and is intended to be a high-level innovation platform covering R&D, commercialization, talent cultivation, and industrial ecosystem building in humanoid robotics.

The leadership and research team bring a deep academic pedigree: Professor Xiong Rong and her team have decades of experience in humanoid robotics, including "small brain/large brain" systems, motion control, perception and locomotion. They have published extensively and hold numerous patents and many high-level papers.

In March 2024, the research team officially launched in Ningbo's Haishu District, unveiling its first full humanoid robot prototype, the Navigator, which can walk bipedally, adapt to different terrain, and perform coordinated full-body motion like wiping a table, pouring water and dancing. Later in August 2024, they introduced NAVIAI-i2, which has 41 degrees of freedom and is designed for high-precision embodied intelligence tasks.

Their mission is t build an integrated humanoid-robot ecosystem: not just building the robots, but developing the "brain" (AI and control system), "cerebellum" (coordination and balance) and the full chain from prototyping to commercialization.

The company has already received external investments from SUPCON Technology Co., Ltd., which injected ¥17.62 million in early 2024 via share issuance. It has also drawn in industry partners such as New An Group and is leveraging NIngbo's existing precision components manufacturing base to built its supply chain.
